  • A new emerging talent from the international jazz scene, this 32 year old pianist was born in Vigevano, Italy, and after graduation from the Italian Conservatory, began his musical career at age 18 joining the "Milano Jazz Gang", one of Europe's historic bands.

    Ever since he has been performing with Italy's finest jazz musicians as well as renowned foreign stars as his mentor the great pianist Barry Harris, Dan Barrett, Slide Hampton, Carl Fontana, Eddie Daniels, Johnny Frigo, Warren Vaché, Reggie Johnson, Gerry Mulligan, Tom Baker, Kenny Davern, Bob Wilber, Ed Polcer, Jake Hanna, Ed Metz Jr., Butch Miles, Rebecca Kilgore, Eddie Locke, Bucky Pizzarelli, Jon-Erik Kellso, Dick Hyman, George Masso, Vince Giordano, Harry Allen, Joel Forbes, Joe Cohn, Eddie Erickson, Dave Green, Steve Brown, Evan Christopher, James Chirillo, Randy Reinhart, Jesper Thilo, Antti Sarpila, Scott Robinson, Randy Sandke, Joe Wilder, Tommy Newsom, Dado Moroni, Howard Alden and many many others.

    In 2002 and 2003 Rossano performed at the Ascona Festival (Switzerland) with Dan Barrett and his "International Swing Party"; in 2003 he was invited to play in Switzerland and Germany at the "International Stride Piano Summit" with Dick Hyman ,Chris Hopkins, Bernd Lhotzky and Louis Mazetier.

    In 2003 and 2004 he performed in Clearwater Beach, Florida at the "March of Jazz" (the premiere American Jazz Party ). He also performed at the New York Town Hall, Lincoln Centre and United Nations.

    Since 1998 Rossano, teaches jazz piano at the "Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano".

    He recorded piano solo albums for different labels such as "Blue Swing" , "Jazz Connoisseur" and "Arbors Records". He also received the "Prix du Jazz Classique 2005" from the classic French institution "Acadèmie du Jazz".
